HAZMAT Fees
HAZMAT (Hazardous Material) containers, also known as Dangerous Goods (DG) containers, are dangerous by definition; therefore, the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) requires HAZMAT-certified drivers to handle them.

HAZMAT – Hazardous Materials containers require HAZMAT-certified drivers who take special care with the container and only use HAZMAT-certified roads. |
Placard Application and Removal—This is the customer’s responsibility. A fee is charged if the driver is required to apply or remove the placards. |
Container Clean-Out Fee—When unloading, the customer must remove all cargo and dunnage from the container. If the driver is required to remove anything, a time-based fee will be charged. |
HAZMAT Restriction List
Evans Delivery Dallas is unable to haul the following HAZMAT class certifications: Class 1.1, Class 1.2, Class 1.3, Class 2.3, Class 4.3, Class 5.2 (Organic peroxide), Type B, liquid or solid, temperature-controlled and Class 6.1 (material poisonous by inhalation) (see §171.8 of this subchapter) or Bulk Packaging. Bulk Packaging is packaging (other than a vessel or a barge) with no intermediate form of containment and having a maximum capacity greater than 450 L (119 gallons) as a receptacle for a liquid; maximum net mass greater than 400 kg (882 pounds) and a maximum capacity greater than 450 L (119 gallons) as a receptacle for a solid; or water capacity greater than 450 kg (1000 pounds) as a receptacle for a gas as defined in §173.115. Non-bulk packaging has a capacity equal to or less than those listed above for bulk packaging.
